Job Title: Brickwork Lecturer
Position: 37 hrs per week and 23 hours per week
Role type: Temporary
Location: Cardiff
Rate: £25-£35 per hour including holiday pay
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching across various programmes, accommodating a diverse range of ages and abilities.
* Develop and maintain teaching materials, including handouts, assignments, and electronic resources.
* Prepare and assess Schemes of Work and Assessment in line with awarding body requirements.
* Undertake administrative tasks essential for the effective operation of programmes.
* Act as a course tutor, supporting learners in achieving their targets and providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and employers.
* Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students and contribute to promotional activities.
* Maintain and develop professional links within the industry and stay updated with current practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A minimum of a Level 3 vocational qualification in the Construction industry. Qualifications in Bricklaying are desirable.
* GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Certificate in Education/PGCE/DTLLS/DET preferred.
* Substantial, recent, and relevant industrial experience in Bricklaying or Construction Maintenance.
* Experience in lecturing, instructing, or training is beneficial.
