We’re looking for a customer focused person, based in the Milton Keynes and surrounding area, to join our Fronius Welding team and fulfil the role of System Engineer in our Technical Support department. You will be responsible for the installation, service, repair and calibration of Fronius welding solutions both in-house and at our customer's sites in the UK and Ireland. With your industry and technical knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of our strategy to take welding to the next level. In this role, your responsibilities will include: Repair of Fronius welding equipment including inverters, torches, hose packs, and automated systems Providing support to customers and troubleshooting Providing service and calibration of welding equipment Safety test and weld test after repair and servicing Providing technical support for the introduction of new products/systems/processes into the market Providing email and telephone support for technical and welding queries/problems Providing pre-sales and after sales support to sales team and customers Providing support and demonstration of welding equipment Assisting with events (trade fairs, open days, seminars, etc.) Assisting with stock control We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience: Technical experience preferably on technical support of electrical equipment Electrical engineering qualification Single and 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair skills IT skills including Microsoft office suite (Excel & Word) Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG and MIG/MAG welding processes will be an advantage Sales minded/ good customer communication skills Good communication skills and knowledge transfer abilities Team worker Flexibility to travel across the UK and Ireland (working hours and tasks arranged to suit customer requirements) plus occasional travel to our HQ in Austria for business and training Customer orientated attitude with professional approach to clients Fluent in English (spoken and written) Valid driving license Your Benefits Contributory Pension Scheme (optional) Company paid private Health insurance (optional) Death in service policy Free on-site parking Free on-site gym Free fruit available to employees 23 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with long service Three-day Christmas shut down which does not need to be taken out of your annual leave allowance Regular team social events and activities Discount scheme for retailers, days out and much more Family-owned company with shared values and long-term stability Access to e-learning courses and industry expert knowledge gathered since 1945 Are you ready for Fronius?
