Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with hand and power tools effectively. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assemblies that meet industry standards. Occasionally on site work required as we provide a full turnkey service, from design to manufacture and installation.
Duties
* Perform mainly MIG welding with some TIG on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
* Fabrication of bespoke products.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
* Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
* Conduct fabrication of metal parts, ensuring precision in measurements and assembly.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
* Carry out routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
* Some site work is required, consisting of fitting in house manufactured products.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in MIG welding, TIG and Stick welding techniques.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
* Experience in metal work is desirable.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
