About the role We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated, and well-organised Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our Learning and Organisational Development Team. In this fixed-term role, you’ll play a key part in helping ensure the smooth running of our health and wellbeing services. The health and wellbeing service is a critical part of day-to-day workforce support, ensuring all staff and volunteers are supported with efficient, compassionate, and well-timed advice and support to help ensure they have everything they need to deliver outstanding care and services to our patients, supporters and service users. Key responsibilities: • Build collaborative relationships and partnerships both internally and externally to deliver the wellbeing offer. • Share expert knowledge in the practice of workforce wellbeing and resilience. • Champion flexible working and life balance, challenging thinking and attitudes to create a progressive, high trust and high support environment. • Learn from the wellbeing needs of our staff and volunteers, leading on the design, delivery and evaluation of wellbeing interventions for our people. • Lead on key delivery areas as part of the People & Culture delivery plan, shaping policy and practice. What you’ll bring: Here’s what we’re looking for: You’ll hold previous experience in health and wellbeing advice. You’ll also bring: A respectful and supportive approach A flexible attitude and willingness to support a close-knit team Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 Experience in a healthcare setting or charitable organisation (desirable) You will be an experienced, enthusiastic team member who is committed to health and wellbeing principles, strategies and resources to support our people at Ashgate hospice. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills to project manage and operationalise services to staff and volunteers. About Ashgate: Ashgate Hospice, based in North Derbyshire, offers free palliative and end of life care for adults with life-limiting or incurable illnesses, including cancer, neurological diseases, and advanced heart, kidney, and lung conditions.
