Training Programme Director – Anaesthetics South Core & ACCS
An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil this role as Training Programme Director. The position is seconded to NHS England, remunerated by Education Management Contribution (EMC) in line with sessional payments, and will work under a Consultant Job Plan to support the Head of School in delivering NHS England's mandate.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide effective clinical leadership and give expert advice on specialty‑specific matters on behalf of the Yorkshire and the Humber Deanery.
* Implement the NHSE Quality Framework and Education and Training Quality Improvement and Performance.
* Engage with stakeholders, building an effective network of communication and collaboration across local, regional and national bases.
* Maintain relationships with: Postgraduate Dean, Head of School, staff across the geographical area, practices and schemes, associate and deputy deans, clinical faculty, other Heads of Schools, other Training Programme Directors, Royal Colleges, professional and regulatory bodies, wider stakeholder network, local medical and dental schools, providers and commissioners, Directors of Education, higher educational institutions.
* Recruit training posts and programmes; manage postgraduate programme including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation, OOP management, trainee management, careers support and inter‑deanery transfer.
* Attend School meetings and other relevant meetings.
* Ensure compliance with the Code of Practice requirements and procurement regulations.
* Advise and support educational and workforce development activities.
* Develop educational programmes to support curriculum competency achievement.
Qualifications
* Primary medical qualification or on the Specialist Register.
* Membership or fellowship of a College, Faculty, Professional Association or regulatory body.
Experience
* Working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
* Clinical and educational leadership experience.
* Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.

Contract & Benefits
Salary: £10 000 per PA (1.88 P A) in line with TPD sessional payments; part‑time (job share) secondment. Grade: Consultant. Pay scheme: Hospital medical and dental staff.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must submit a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. UK professional registration is mandatory.
