Position
Senior Programme Manager PMO & Efficiency in the Directorate of Transformation & Sustainability based at Ailsa Hospital. This is a permanent role, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What You Will Do
* Lead and manage a range of discrete projects under the Programme Management Office (PMO) umbrella, ensuring that standard project management methodologies are applied across all projects.
* Maintain and monitor progress on all aspects of projects, providing robust weekly and monthly reports to key organisational forums.
* Develop and maintain standardised reports on progress, highlighting risks and obstacles, and ensure robust governance and control arrangements are in place.
* Engage with Director Sponsors, Programme Groups and individual project leads to progress and deliver projects successfully.
* Work closely with Finance colleagues to track progress, slippage, and delivery of efficiency and transformation programmes, testing and challenging schemes with project leads to confirm savings values and performance against quality-related KPIs.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience in a relevant discipline.
* A qualification in programme management or demonstrable experience in this area with a track record of delivering strategic programmes across a range of services.
* Demonstrable understanding of programme management tools and techniques, both practical and theoretical.
* Knowledge of the statutory framework and guidance for the NHS, the Integration of Health and Social Care, and the national, regional and local policy frameworks.
* Knowledge of policy framework for health and social care delivery and its interface with planning partners, particularly IJBs/Health and Social Care Partnerships.
* Recent experience working in the NHS, other public sector or relevant organisations in a role associated with strategic service planning and development.
* Knowledge of practical application of software packages supporting the key result areas.
* Experience in drafting and presenting papers, reports, and related correspondence for the NHS Board, governance groups, directors, and senior managers.
* Significant experience working directly with Directors, Non-Executive Directors and senior managers.
* A pragmatic and flexible approach to problem solving.
* Developed awareness of the political sensitivity of information and the ability to work through issues strategically and operationally.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, and the ability to establish productive working relationships.
