At the Bali Dyslexia Foundation (BDF), our mission is to include the excluded. In just six years, we’ve grown from a small, makeshift classroom into Indonesia’s largest provider of inclusive and neurodivergent teacher training. Based in Buleleng, North Bali, we serve some of the country’s most underprivileged children, offering access to literacy, screening, and teacher support.Vacancy details
About the Role
We have a long history of hosting professional volunteers and interns, including students from Oxford University. In 2024–25, we’re expanding our Charity Development Internship designed for students and recent graduates passionate about social impact, education, and international development.
From day one, you’ll take real ownership of projects at both BDF and NBSA. Interns help guide the direction of our local team, contribute to strategy and project management, and gain hands-on experience in running a grassroots NGO. You’ll work across areas like fundraising, outreach, and operations all while living in a culturally rich and inspiring environment.
Interns gain valuable experience in charity development and education, while enjoying life in one of the most beautiful and culturally rich parts of Bali.
About You
At BDF, we value potential over experience. We’re looking for ambitious individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to create lasting impact. You should be self-motivated, creative, and adaptable, with a genuine interest in charity development and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partnerships – Build links with local and international businesses to expand our sponsor network.
* Fundraising – Research grant opportunities, help plan campaigns, and run events to raise funds and awareness.
* Community Outreach – Promote neurodiversity awareness across our region, including with schools and the Ministry of Education.
* Team Leadership – Support our local team with English communications and ensure project output meets international standards.
