Key Responsibilities

3. Helping load your lorry with the day's deliveries, working alongside the warehouse team.
4. Demonstrating respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handling unexpected situations to find the best solutions for your customers.
5. Installing products efficiently and demonstrating how they work once installed.
6. Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to perform your role effectively.

Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role, including delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience with the installation of white goods, furniture assembly, or related skills.
As a Customer Delivery Installer Porter, you'll be the face of the John Lewis & Partners brand. You'll maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations in our customers' homes.
This non-driver role offers a great opportunity for those looking to develop their careers in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs. You will need to complete a 13-week Porter training programme, after which you'll be qualified to install products including wet connections, TV, and audio/video systems.
At the end of the 13 weeks, you will be assessed on these elements to obtain your Installer Porter qualification. The role is full-time (41 hours per week), working Monday to Saturday, with shifts starting as early as 6 am and finishing as late as 5 pm.
