We are currently supporting a leading QHSE consultancy in the search for a full time permanent Senior QHSE Advisor to join their team in Aberdeenshire.
This is a key role responsible for driving QHSE excellence, developing management systems, and supporting operational teams to ensure compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across multiple projects and functions
This role offers significant variety and autonomy, working closely with client leadership teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Management Systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping clients achieve and maintain compliance with industry standards while driving continual improvement initiatives.
This position would suit a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys working directly with clients, influencing positive change, and delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional QHSE advice, guidance, and support to clients across a range of industries.
* Develop, implement, and maintain integrated management systems.
* GDPR compliance
* Develop and implement QHSE plans, policies, procedures, and interface documentation.
* Conduct internal and external audits, inspections, and management system reviews.
* Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programmes.
* Support risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice.
* Deliver QHSE training, coaching, and awareness programmes.
* Support emergency response planning and business continuity activities.
* Prepare management reports, KPI analysis, and improvement recommendations.
* Mentor and support junior QHSE personnel where required.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* HNC qualification or equivalent.
* TECH IOSH membership or equivalent.
* ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
* Experience developing and maintaining management systems.
* Strong knowledge of UK QHSE legislation and compliance requirements.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Highly Desirable
* NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Degree qualification in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
* Additional ISO Lead Auditor qualifications.
* Experience within engineering, manufacturing, energy, or oil & gas sectors.
* Experience supporting clients with:
* DSEAR assessments and compliance
* Carbon measurement, carbon reduction initiatives, and sustainability reporting
* Environmental management and net-zero strategies
* Information security and GDPR compliance
