Job Title: Exams Officer

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-oriented Exams Officer to join a committed and supportive education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full examination process-ensuring the efficient planning, administration, and delivery of both internal and external assessments in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of examination procedures, including entries, timetabling, rooming, invigilation, and results
Ensure full compliance with JCQ and other awarding body regulations
Manage exam communications with staff, students, parents, and examination boards
Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators
Maintain secure and accurate records related to exams and candidate data
Organise access arrangements and ensure appropriate support for students with specific needs
Process post-results services including reviews of marking and access to scripts
Provide data analysis and reporting support to leadership as requiredThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong IT skills and experience with exam management software (e.g., SIMS, Exams Organiser)
The ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Clear and confident communication skills
A flexible, calm, and professional manner
Previous experience in an educational or exams-related role is desirable, though not essentialWhat's Offered:
