We are currently seeking a Digital and Marketing Communications Officer to join a busy communications and engagement team within Sussex Police. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team, helping to deliver content, communications, and public engagement activity across a range of platforms. The successful candidate will work alongside another communications officer supporting senior leadership and the wider organisation with digital communications and engagement needs. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, reporting directly to the Head of Communications and Public Engagement.

* Job Type: Full-time, fixed term contract with hybrid working available
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of digital communications and social media activity across multiple platforms
* Create engaging and informative content for online channels and public engagement campaigns
* Assist in promoting organisational campaigns, projects, and initiatives through digital media
* Attend events and engagement activities when required
* Work closely with the wider communications and engagement team to support ongoing projects
* Monitor and respond to digital communications where appropriate
* Ensure communications remain professional, accessible, and in line with organisational standards
* Support community engagement and help maintain a positive online presence across digital platforms
* Contribute creative ideas and content for future communications activity
Skills, Experience and Training Requirements
* Previous experience within digital communications, social media or marketing
* Qualified within marketing, communications, media or a related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Creative, proactive and highly organised approach to work
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality content
* Previous experience within a public-sector, charity or similar organisation
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle would be preferred due to occasional travel requirements
