Job Overview
The Rehabilitation Engineer Service is based within our Trust's Adult and Specialist Rehabilitation Division of BCHC. It supplies Rehabilitation Engineering resources to Wheelchair Services across the West Midlands. The Senior Rehabilitation Engineer will be primarily based at Worcester Wheelchair Service Crown Lane, Wychbold, WR9 0BX, and may also provide service within Herefordshire Wheelchair Services.
Responsibilities
* Undertake assessment of postural and mobility needs for service users of wheelchair services.
* Create innovative and safe solutions that meet the assessed clinical needs of wheelchair users, taking into account relevant legislation and following our ISO13485:2016 QMS.
* Line‑manage Rehabilitation Engineers, trainees and support staff.
* Participate in an active CPD and Clinical Supervision programme as part of a Rehabilitation Engineering team of over 25 staff.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience in the subject field, including line management of Band 6 Rehabilitation Engineers and trainees.
* Knowledge of postural assessment and wheelchair technology.
* Experience with ISO13485:2016 QMS or similar standards.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Location
Worcester Wheelchair Service Crown Lane, Wychbold, WR9 0BX. Additional responsibilities may include activity in Herefordshire Wheelchair Services.
