As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA), you will be a key support to teachers and pupils in the classroom. You will help create a positive and stimulating learning environment, providing academic, emotional, and social support to pupils of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities of a Level 2 TA:
* Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
* Work with individuals and small groups of children to reinforce learning
* Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement during lessons
* Help monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
* Provide supervision during break and lunch times when needed
* Support pupils with basic pastoral care and emotional needs
* Assist with phonics, reading, numeracy, and literacy activities
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other support colleagues
* Promote inclusion and ensure equal access to learning for all pupils
What we need from a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:
* A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working with children in a school or educational setting as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* A patient, caring, and adaptable nature
* A willingness to take initiative and work as part of a team
* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
* Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
