We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Shift Manager.
The role is working 4 on / 4 off days and nights.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and as part of the junior management team, you will be constantly driving change within your team as well as focusing on improving manufacturing processes/efficiency throughout the whole site.
The role responsibilities are but not limited to:
1. To support the Engineering Manager in the efficient running of the department
2. Development of the engineers within your team
3. To provide additional hands-on support when required in maintaining and repairing equipment
4. To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site health & safety procedures and current legislation
5. To ensure Planned Maintenance work is completed in line with system timeline
6. Resolve engineering issues throughout your team – Grievance/Absence/Disciplinary
7. Control of contractors and Issuing of applicable permit to work
8. Supplier call out
9. Holiday control
10. Promote working relations between engineering and all other departments to help drive improvements and deliver the site KPI’s
11. Promote/encourage continuous improvement, lean and 5s within the team
12. Ensure all duties carried out with due regard to policies and procedures of company
13. Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
14. Adhere to the company’s Hygiene policies and procedures
The successful candidate will hold an Engineering qualification with experience working within a FMCG environment.
Ideally candidates will have the ability to lead a team with knowledge of engineering best practices.
