The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
Take full responsibility for your class on your assigned 3 days
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum
Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities
Work closely with your TA to support all pupils, including any SEN needs
Attend relevant staff meetings, INSET, and parent consultations on your working daysThe school is seeking a teacher who is adaptable, organised, and confident in managing a small Year 2 class while maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.
Requirements
The school is looking for someone who:
Holds UK QTS
Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
Can differentiate effectively for mixed-ability learners
Works well as part of a team
Is available for 3 days per week starting April 2026Both experienced teachers and ECTs will be considered.
