We are looking to appoint a Support Worker to work within the Direct Payments Team to provide advice and support to people accessing Direct Payments. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will assist with the initial set up of a Direct Payment package and provide ongoing support to existing recipients, responsibilities include holding and managing your own case load. You will be required to conduct home visits for setting up direct payments and to verify documentation for DBS checks. Working across both children and adult services, including using different case management systems, part of the role will be providing guidance to staff on legislation and requirements for Direct Payments. Providing a high-quality customer services response to all users of the service, providing advice and signposting service users. WHAT WILL I NEED? This is a busy and varied job role which requires a person who has experience of working within a multi-agency environment. A good understanding and knowledge of computers and administrative tasks is valuable within this role, on the job training will be provided but skills and knowledge within an administrative or computer-based role would be beneficial. Required Qualifications:. 5 GCSEs including English Language (9-4/A-C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification. NVQ/Apprenticeship level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
