Chartered Engineer - Roads & Streets

We are looking for a Chartered Engineer to join our Roads and Streets team. The role involves design, project management and consulting services across a range of projects, from minor to major works, and includes active travel and sustainable transport solutions.
Responsibilities
* Participate in roads, streets, active travel and sustainable transport design from concept to detailed construction stages.
* Work closely with a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers, technicians and other professionals.
* Provide technical support and mentoring to engineers and technicians, and supervise early‑career staff.
* Integrate designs with drainage, structures, geotechnical, environmental and other disciplines.
* Ensure project tasks are completed on program and within budget.
* Prepare specifications, contract documents and support design delivery through construction.
* Assist with management and procurement of surveys and site activities, liaising with stakeholders and supervising contractors.
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field; Chartered professional status.
* Strong technical skills in road, street, active travel and general civil engineering design.
* UK design standards knowledge and experience with design interfaces across multiple disciplines.
* Highly competent with 3D highway modelling and design software such as Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
* Competent with 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
* Ability to prepare departures, relaxations from standards, reports and collate specifications for project progress and technical reporting.
