An exciting opportunity has arisen atEKC Ashford Collegefor aProgramme Director (Course Leader) in Health and Social Care. This role is perfect for an inspiring educator who wants to make a real difference, combining teaching with curriculum leadership to shape the future of our learners.

As aProgramme Director, you will:

* Teach, support and assessstudents across Health and Social Care programmes, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.

* Design and deliver a distinctive curriculumthat meets both student needs and local/regional skills demands.

* Lead and coordinate the delivery team, ensuring students have up-to-date course information and support throughout their studies.

* Create engaging programme activitiesthat enhance understanding of objectives, assessments, and awarding body requirements.

* Develop course materialssuch as handbooks and resources to provide clarity and structure for learners.

* Work collaboratively with department leadershipto drive outstanding student progress and success.

About You

You will bringcreativity, organisation and passionto this role, planning and delivering engaging, innovative lessons that inspire and challenge students. With excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to motivate and support learners of all abilities, carefullyassessing and tracking progressto identify interventions that ensure every student has the chance to succeed.

As a Programme Director, you’ll:

* Provideacademic leadership and guidance, shaping the future of our Health and Social Care curriculum.

* Manage thedelivery and accreditationof programmes, ensuring courses meet the highest standards.

* Use yourteaching expertise and vocational knowledgeto equip students with the skills and confidence they need for their future careers.

* Buildstrong partnerships with colleagues, employers and stakeholdersto enhance opportunities for learners.

* Oversee the curriculum from the ground up, while continuing todeliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met.Employees can move up the salary scale once you have worked as a Programme Director for our group for one entire academic year, subject to approval.Therefore, internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
