Location and Travel
Covering Bournemouth and Poole – you must be able to travel within the area.

£23,004 per annum (30 hours per week).
About The Role
Primarily based out of the probation offices, you will provide information, advice and support to individuals helping them regain control over their finances. This demanding role involves working with people who have complex needs and can be reluctant to engage, while keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure progress and ensure effective interventions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Advice and Support: Cover budgeting, arranging payment plans, accessing and applying for benefits, and supporting individuals to understand their finances.
* Working with external agencies: Local councils, charities, housing providers, utility providers and probation for practical support and guidance.
* Administration: Maintain detailed records of every interaction to ensure effective interventions at each appointment.
* Group & 121 Delivery: Deliver support in various settings, including tailored support sessions, workshops on financial literacy, and 121 interventions.
What We’re Looking For
* Relationship Building: Connect with people at all levels, engage key stakeholders within Probation and build genuine, trust‑based relationships with Service Users.
* Compassionate, non‑judgemental approach: Support vulnerable people who may have complex needs, mental health challenges or addiction.
* Organisation and Time Management: Handle a busy caseload, manage diaries and maintain detailed records.
* Safeguarding Awareness: Identify safeguarding risks and respond appropriately, with support from the team.
* Flexibility: Comfortable with change and able to think on your feet.
Requirements
Enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting required. Successful candidates will be offered a start date at least 6 weeks from the point of job offer, to allow time for pre‑employment clearances.
