Position: Depot Manager
Industry: Oil & Lubricant
Salary/Package: £35,000 - £40,000, Mon to Friday/No weekends, Company Vehicle/Fuel Card, 30 days holiday including Bank holidays, Wellbeing programme, Life assurance & more.
Purpose of the role
The Depot Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the Aberdeen depot, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The primary responsibilities involve managing and auditing the operational aspects, including delivery routing, stock control, productivity, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Depot Operations: Oversee all depot activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
* Plan and manage workloads, routes, and schedules to meet service requirements
* Monitor performance against KPIs, budgets, and operational targets
* Ensure depot facilities, equipment, and vehicles are maintained to required standards
* Lead, motivate, and manage depot staff, including drivers and operational teams
* Promote a positive safety culture and high standards of conduct
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and industry regulations
* Carry out risk assessments and implement safe systems of work
* Ensure all staff receive appropriate training, inductions, and toolbox talks
* Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections

* Financial & Administrative Duties
You must have or hold
* Proven experience in depot management within fuel sector or previous management experience (Essential)
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of fleet management systems
* Driving Licence
*Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.*
