Overview
Deputy Director of Sixth Form - Academic Support. Location: Radstock, Somerset. Contract: Permanent. Hours: Full time. Salary: MPS-UPS + TLR1b. Start date: As Soon As Possible or April 2026. Closing date: 4 February 2026. This role supports the Sixth Form across Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership sites and reports to the Director and Deputy Director of the Sixth Form.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Post-16 SEND provision and develop comprehensive student profiles to ensure individual learning needs are met within the classroom.
* Liaise with departments, parents/carers, and Sixth Form Administrators across all campuses.
* Lead and contribute to annual reviews and evaluations to maintain high standards of teaching and learning in the Sixth Form.
* Demonstrate visionary leadership, drive and ambition; manage competing demands and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Display excellent interpersonal skills and effective people management.
* Support the Director and Deputy Director in strategic development and execution of the Sixth Form vision and values.
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding leadership in a Sixth Form or equivalent setting.
* Deep passion and enthusiasm for the subject area; commitment to exceptional standards of teaching and learning.
* Ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best.
* Excellent relationships with students and staff; tenacity in maintaining outstanding results in the Sixth Form.
* Strong collaborative and communicative skills; ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across campuses.
