We are looking for enthusiastic registered nurses to work in our Inpatient Ward on a bank basis, working an average of 2 shifts per rota over a 3 month rolling period.
Our 12-bed unit is a well-supported setting where you work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Senior Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, specialist Medical team and Allied Health Professionals. Additionally, our volunteers bring plenty of positivity and invaluable support to our ward. This diversity of skills, knowledge and experience is fundamental to excellent care, and the wards friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Main duties of the job
The provision of specialist palliative and end of life nursing care, primarilyon Sylvan Ward.
The delivery of a holistic model of care, which supports thepsychological, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the patient.
Participation in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluationof person-centred nursing care for patients.
Working effectively with MDT colleagues, delegating duties according tothe skills and knowledge of junior team members.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for delivering a high standard of care to all patients within the Hospice Inpatient Unit. This will be based upon evidence-based practice in line with legal requirements, statutory rules and Hospice policies relating to practice and the NMC Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
* Adult Registered Nurse (Active NMC registrant)
* Relevant Diploma or Degree in Nursing
* A qualification in palliative care or long term conditions, or willingness to work towards this.
* Teaching and Assessing qualification (ENB 998, Practice Assessor, or similar)
