Summary
We are seeking an experienced Residential Property solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience to join our busy Property Department. This is an office-based fully employed position at our Lightwater Head Office, reporting directly to the Head of Property.
The successful candidate will handle residential conveyancing matters introduced through our trusted introducers as well as instructions received via our central enquiries mailbox. In addition, this role carries responsibility for auditing the work of other conveyancers to ensure compliance with our internal audit standards and the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
Providing a high-quality, client-focused service to introducers and direct clients.
Undertaking audits of colleagues' conveyancing files in accordance with our compliance framework and SRA requirements.
Identifying risks, ensuring best practice, and maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
Reporting regularly to the Head of Property and contributing to the development of the department.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
At least 5 years' experience in residential property conveyancing.
Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions.
Excellent organisational and case management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team.
A thorough understanding of SRA regulatory obligations and compliance procedures (training will be provided for the auditing function).

What We Offer
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
20 days' annual holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays.
Structured working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
