We're looking for a creative, motivated, and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to support our Design Lead within a fast-paced Corporate Affairs team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in Graphic Designing to build skills, expand their portfolio, and gain hands-on experience across various projects.
In this role, you'll help bring our stories to life, supporting internal and external communications, and contributing to campaigns that engage our people, media, and wider audiences. You'll play an active role in shaping how we connect and communicate, from managing digital channels to supporting employee engagement and media relations.

About The Team
The Corporate Affairs team is central to storytelling at Laing O'Rourke — from our projects and people to our innovations. We manage digital strategy and communication channels, shaping and protecting our brand and reputation. Our work spans internal communications, media relations, public affairs, and digital content, ensuring our messages reach the right audiences. As part of an international construction and engineering leader, we're a creative, fast-paced team that influences how the world perceives Laing O'Rourke.
Responsibilities
1. Designing Templates & Brand Assets: Create and maintain consistent PowerPoint and Word templates, along with Adobe InDesign templates, ensuring brand identity is applied uniformly across digital and print materials.
2. Design Production: Develop engaging PowerPoint presentations, branded materials like posters, banners, invitations, signage, and promotional items such as branded merchandise (pens, mugs, tote bags). Assist in creating digital assets for social media and internal communications like intranet content.
3. Collaboration & Workflow: Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team and stakeholders to receive briefs, present ideas, and refine designs based on feedback. Collaborate on multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
4. Asset Management: Manage the image database, ensuring assets are uploaded, organized, and accessible. Assist with sourcing images and maintaining efficient file management practices.

Qualifications And Experience
1. Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent practical experience in graphic design.
2. Proven 2-3 years of professional experience in a graphic design role.
3. Experience working with corporate communications or marketing teams.
4. Portfolio demonstrating versatility in digital and print design projects.
5. Proficiency in Adobe After Effects — motion graphics and visual effects.
6. Experience designing and developing templates based on brand guidelines.
