Job specification:
Lead responding to, and resolving where appropriate, resident, and elected member issues with highways operational performance, quality etc. on behalf of the Assistant Director
Day-to-day oversight and assurance of Highway Maintenance activities delivered by Amey focussing on performance, quality, and value for money
Day-to-day visibility & leadership on site with operational teams, driving improvements in performance and quality
Day-to-day visibility & leadership on site with elected members and residents driving improvements on performance and quality and ensuring that non-compliant work is rectified
Early identification of performance and quality issues and developing solutions and relevant communications
Ensuring that the service operates within the allocated budget
Lead on ensuring that arrangements are in place for the three tiers of contract governance (Strategic Board, Operational Board and Delivery Project Teams)
Essential:
NRSWA Accredited
Competency through NRSWA or LANTRA training
Desirable:
Operational knowledge of Highways
Experience of working within highway maintenance management
Willing to have difficult conversations with our contractors re: performance
A full UK driving licence
Relevant design software/CAD/Civils 3D/where appropriate
