As the Bar Manager, you will be the driving force behind the bar's daily operations, ensuring every guest & members experiences exceptional service, quality drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. You will lead and inspire your team, maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency, and play a key role in menu development, stock management and staff training. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Ongoing training & motivation for the bar staff, creating a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain high standards. Lead by example, providing hands-on support during operational hours. Bar Operations and Efficiency: Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures. Ensure the bar is always clean, well-stocked and organised. Monitor and maintain quality control over drink preparation and presentation. Implement effective bar maintenance routines, including line cleaning and cellar management. Stock and Cost Control: Manage bar stock levels, reducing waste and controlling costs without compromising quality. Conduct regular stock checks and ensure accurate record-keeping. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and product quality. Implement effective stock rotation and FIFO practices. Cocktail Menu Development: Collaborate with the team to create innovative cocktails and seasonal drink menus, which are unique, niche, seasonal & on brand with Crowded House. Monitor industry trends and customer preferences to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Plan and execute specials & bespoke cocktails when necessary. Customer Experience and Sales: Ensure every guest receives exceptional service, from the first welcome to the final goodbye. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat business and guest loyalty. Compliance and Safety: Enforce all food and beverage regulations, including age verification. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. Ensure the bar operates in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-volume site. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
