As a Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you will lead the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy, ensuring effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks across all business units. Your role will align risk practices with strategic goals and encompass oversight of capital management, governance, risk culture, compliance, operational practices, ESG, climate change, and exposure management.

1. Masterβs or Bachelorβs degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
3. Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience in risk management, preferably in financial services or regulated industries.
4. Deep understanding of enterprise risk, governance, compliance, and ESG risks.
5. Strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

1. Capital Management
* Drive the organizationβs risk-based capital planning and optimization strategy.
* Ensure capital adequacy and regulatory solvency standards are met.
* Provide insight on capital allocation in line with the firmβs risk appetite and return objectives.
2. Governance & Risk Culture
* Foster a strong, organization-wide risk culture that promotes accountability and transparency.
* Serve as the primary advisor to the Board and Risk Committee on all risk matters.
* Ensure appropriate governance structures and reporting lines for risk management.
3. Risk Framework
* Design and implement a robust and scalable enterprise risk framework.
* Define risk appetite, tolerance levels, and key risk indicators (KRIs) across business functions.
* Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and scenario analysis activities.
4. Operational Practice (Policies & Procedures)
* Develop and maintain risk policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Ensure operational risks are identified and mitigated across departments.
* Conduct periodic reviews and testing of risk management practices and effectiveness.
5. Group Strategy & Execution
* Embed risk considerations into the corporate strategic planning process.
* Evaluate strategic initiatives through a risk-adjusted lens.
* Partner with other executives to ensure effective execution of group strategy.
6. ESG and Climate Change
* Lead integration of ESG and climate risk considerations into enterprise risk frameworks.
* Support ESG disclosures and ensure compliance with sustainability regulations.
* Identify long-term environmental and social risks impacting business resilience.
7. Compliance
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
* Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and oversee regulatory risk management.
* Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess potential impacts.
8. Exposure Management
* Oversee measurement and management of exposures across credit, market, operational, and reputational risks.
* Implement systems to track and report aggregated risk exposures.
* Ensure appropriate use of risk transfer tools such as insurance or hedging.
