The successful candidate will create an inspiring learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and achieve their full academic potential. Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach Physical and Human Geography across relevant key stages 3, 4 and 5 Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus Assess, monitor, and track student progress Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage active participation Prepare lesson plans, resources, and assessments Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff Requirements of a Geography Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography or a related subject Previous experience teaching Geography in schools is desirable Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Passion for Geography and inspiring young learners An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
