Overview

Location: Newport

Contract Type: Permanent (subject to ongoing funding) · Workplace based

Hours & working: Pattern - 35 hrs per week (full time). Monday - Sunday with routine weekend days and occasional evenings (on a rota basis).

Generally Mon - Fri with occasional evenings and/or weekend working.

All team members must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of the Charity and the people we support


Accountability

Accountable to: Exploitation Service Manager


Purpose of the post

To provide assistance in the management and delivery of high quality, responsive, accommodation support and services, whilst meeting the housing related needs of individuals residing within transitional supported accommodation.


Specific responsibilities

1. As a member of the operational management team, you will support the Service Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, trauma informed, person led services within Newport.
2. Work collaboratively with the Local Authority to ensure accommodation pathways are easily accessible, allocations are appropriate, clear and concise, and to continue to promote effective multi agency working.
3. To participate in regular panel meetings to discuss and provide input into appropriate allocations to the accommodation provision.
4. Carry a small case load.
5. Oversee and undertake risk assessment with/ on individuals, locations and activities and review accordingly.
6. Oversee and develop support plans in line with the needs of those we support, and review accordingly.
7. Support women within the accommodation to have a voice and provide feedback within the organisation and the sector, including surveys, listening sessions and external opportunities.
8. Support the accommodation team to, when appropriate, signpost and refer women to the services they wish to engage with for example social services, police, health, legal, DWP, housing, homelessness, recreational, educational, and cultural services and also CWA’s other internal services.
9. Lead the accommodation team to enable women supported within the accommodation to achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes, led by them.
10. Be responsive to requests from other members of the organisation for quantitative and qualitative data, including for example, the creation of case studies.
11. Line management responsibilities including supervisions, 360’s, inductions for the accommodation team (staff, volunteers, and students).
12. Oversee rotas for accommodation team members and make sure the accommodation is adequately staffed at all times.
13. Lead regular team meetings and participate in full team meetings.
14. To oversee operational Health & Safety requirements within the accommodation provision.
15. To oversee housekeeping, maximise accommodation occupancy with support from the Local Authority and facilitate room turnarounds in a timely manner.
16. Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained in relation to all aspects of the service, including inputting information into our Information Management System.
17. Support the Service Manager in compiling reports for Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) Statistics, HSG and other relevant reports for projects, services and funders.
18. Attend external meetings, ensuring completion of all tasks allocated to Cyfannol Women’s Aid.
19. Being responsive to requests from other members of the organisation for quantitative and qualitative data, including for example, the creation of case studies.
20. The ability to travel independently and in a timely manner to fulfil the requirements of the role is essential.
