We are now recruiting an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily operations and driving performance across the business.
As Assistant General Manager, you will be a hands-on operational leader responsible for maintaining exceptional standards in service delivery, food quality, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
You will play a critical role in ensuring consistency during peak service periods and supporting a high-volume operation with strong commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue
* Lead from the front during busy services, managing floor operations and maintaining pace and control
* Ensure all brand standards, SOPs, and quality benchmarks are consistently delivered
* Drive exceptional customer service standards and resolve guest feedback professionally
* Manage and develop a team of 10–15+ staff across bar, floor and supervisors
* Deliver structured pre-service briefings and ongoing coaching
* Oversee rota planning, labour control and wage percentage targets
* Monitor stock control, ordering, and GP performance
* Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene regulations
* Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
* Maintain high presentation standards across restaurant, bar and garden areas
What Is Required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-volume hospitality environment
* Previous experience as Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager / AGM in a busy restaurant or bar
* Strong floor leadership and ability to manage high-pressure service periods
* Clear focus on standards, quality control and customer service excellence
* Proven experience managing teams of 10+ staff
* Strong commercial awareness (labour control, stock, margins)
* Confident in handling complaints and protecting brand reputation
* Personal Licence (preferred but not essential)
* Passion for food, drinks and delivering memorable guest experiences
