An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic and systems-focused Group Finance and Systems Manager to join the LSL Group Finance team, based in Newcastle.
This is a pivotal role within Group Finance and the wider business, responsible for leading the optimisation of financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and IT to drive innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
As the Group Finance and Systems Manager, you will receive:

The main accountabilities of the role will include:
7. Leading the design and execution of the Group’s finance systems strategy
8. Collaborating with Finance and IT teams to implement automation and financial software solutions
9. Identifying and delivering improvements to financial processes, systems, and workflows
10. Managing finance system access, controls, and audit requirements
11. Supporting training and embedding best practices across finance teams
12. Leading post-acquisition systems integration and supporting strategic projects
13. Driving improvements in reporting cycles and financial control frameworks
14. Managing relationships with software suppliers and consultants
15. Liaising with external auditors and supporting audit processes
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
16. Proven experience in developing and managing financial systems
17. Strong knowledge of finance-related systems and general ledger platforms
18. Demonstrated leadership in systems development and change programmes
19. Strong analytical and data reporting skills
20. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
21. Advanced MS Excel skills
22. Experience in implementing or monitoring financial control frameworks
Desirable:
23. Experience in large or corporate organisations
24. Finance background through qualification or equivalent experience
25. Familiarity with SUN Systems and Alteryx
