Job Title: Kitchen Assistant at HC-One
Join HC-One as a Kitchen Assistant and bring kindness to the forefront of our care homes, which include Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist services. Your role will focus on preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene, and supporting resident wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing and serving meals that residents will enjoy.
2. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in food preparation areas.
3. Manage food supplies and ensure proper fridge/freezer temperatures.
4. Support new staff in using kitchen equipment.
5. Ensure resident wellbeing is prioritized in all tasks.
Qualifications:
* Some kitchen experience preferred.
* NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to follow recipes.
* Kind and considerate communication with residents and colleagues.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and to report concerns appropriately. Attendance at safeguarding training is mandatory.
