We're looking for a thoughtful, autism-informed Cleaner to support an intelligent, engaging autistic man living independently in Camberley.
He has lived in his own home for over 10 years, supported by his sister and a small, trusted team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to his well-being and sense of stability by helping to maintain a clean, calm, and organised living environment.
He experiences high levels of anxiety, so a calm, consistent, and low-arousal approach is essential. He values respectful, grounded interactions and benefits from routines that feel predictable and not intrusive. He shares his home with a small, friendly dog, so being dog-friendly is important.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general domestic cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc.)
* Clean kitchen and bathroom areas thoroughly and hygienically
* Maintain a tidy and low-sensory environment
* Work quietly and respectfully, in line with the individual's preferences
* Communicate clearly, calmly, and in an autism-informed way
* 2 hour cleaning session - 2-3 times per week.
About You:
* Experience in professional domestic cleaning
* Experience supporting or working alongside autistic individuals
* Calm, consistent, and respectful in your approach
* Good understanding of low-arousal and sensory-aware practice
* Comfortable being around a small dog
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
