Job summary
In Telford & Shropshire, we are proud to be at the forefront of integrated multi-agency work with neurodiverse (ND) children and their families.
This exciting new role offers the opportunity to work alongside professionals with ND expertise, providing consultation, assessment, advice, and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families. The role involves building close relationships with colleagues in Education, Health, and Social Care to understand and address the challenges faced by children with additional needs.
We seek someone passionate and enthusiastic about Neurodiversity and committed to our team's goals.
The responsibilities include:
* Triage referrals
* Duty duties
* Autism ADI-R and ADOS-2 assessments
* ADHD DIVA assessments
* School observations
* Report writing

Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-quality ND assessments within the BeeU team, focusing on children and young people aged 5-18 years with concerns around social communication and interaction.
* Interpret and integrate complex data for ADHD assessments, including psychological data, self-report measures, rating scales, observations, and interviews.
* Lead and contribute to autism assessments using standardized tools such as ADI-R and ADOS.
* Ensure assessments align with NICE guidelines and relevant documentation.
* Maintain high standards in clinical practice.
* Prioritize workload, allocate tasks, and manage work levels within the service.
* Make clinical judgments supported by reasoning, in consultation with multidisciplinary staff.
* Stay informed about service delivery drivers at regional and national levels.

Person Specification
* Current registration as a professional
* Training in ADI-R and ADOS-2
* Experience with Neurodevelopmental Autism or ADHD or both
* Experience working in a community setting
* Teamwork skills
* Experience contributing to assessments

Depending on experience, salary ranges from £37,338 to £44,962 per annum.
