Fracture Clinic Outpatients facilitates a wide range of Consultant & Registrars seeing both newly referred patients and follow ups. The department operates Monday to Friday; flexibility over a 5-day period is required to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
* Facilitating clinics independently and as part of a team
* Managing the outpatient area in the Department Manager’s absence
* Planning workload for staff
* Phlebotomy
* Wound care
* Doppler
Qualifications & Requirements
* Interest in Trauma & Orthopaedics Outpatient Nursing; ability to work well independently and as part of a team
* Wound care, orthopaedic casting and bracing skills are important and required
* Ability to facilitate clinics independently, perform clinical procedures, supervise junior staff and support student nurses on placement
* Willingness to participate in mandatory training, e-learning, PADR and Revalidation
* Welsh Skills Desirable: Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above; this is an advantage but not essential
