Our stunning, purpose-built 53-bed care home boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a coffee shop/bistro, a hair and nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas, and beautifully landscaped gardens. We specialize in providing high-quality specialist/complex nursing care and residential dementia care on dedicated floors, with a steadfast focus on person-centred care tailored to the unique needs and wishes of each resident.
Your Role as Head Housekeeper
As the Head Housekeeper at Ribble Court, you will lead by example in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across our home. Your role is essential in creating a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment for all residents and staff. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading a High-Performing Team: Supervising and motivating the housekeeping and laundry teams to deliver outstanding service, maintaining cleanliness and comfort in all areas of the home.
* Ensuring a Welcoming Environment: Overseeing the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas, residents’ rooms, and facilities to create a homely, pleasant atmosphere.
* Upholding Hygiene and Compliance Standards: Implementing and monitoring cleaning schedules and infection control procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Managing Laundry Services: Coordinating efficient laundry operations, ensuring residents’ clothing and linens are cleaned, handled, and returned with care, respecting their preferences and dignity.
* Collaborating Across Departments: Working closely with care and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and a consistent, high-quality experience for residents.
* Training and Development: Supporting the onboarding and ongoing training of domestic staff, ensuring all team members understand and meet required standards.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’. Advertised pay rate is for shifts worked from 1st April 2025.

* Adaptable and Solution-Focused: Ready to respond to the changing needs of the home, with a flexible and proactive mindset.
