  • Provide independent assurance and challenge on environmental data across the business
  • Lead improvements to reporting processes, systems and data quality controls
  • Interpret and embed new regulatory requirements into business processes
  • Act as a key contact for regulators such as the Environment Agency and Natural England
  • Assure key environmental KPIs and ESG-related metrics
  • Oversee groundwater returns and associated compliance activities
  • Identify and manage risks related to reporting and data integrity
  • What you’ll bring to the role:

We’re looking for someone who is detail-focused, organised and confident working with complex data and regulatory requirements.

    You’ll also have:

  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to influence and challenge constructively across teams
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong organisational skills
  • Experience working with data systems and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge and experience

  • Experience in environmental regulation and reporting
  • Understanding of environmental compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of water or wastewater operations (desirable)
  • Experience within the utilities sector (desirable)
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in a science, engineering or environmental discipline (essential)
