As a Residential Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our residential students. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Students: Assist with the planning and implementation of engaging enrichment programmes.
Safety First: Ensure the physical safety of students while promoting a secure living environment.
Mentorship: Work closely with a caseload of students, helping them develop essential life skills for independence.
Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to support students' holistic wellbeing.
Engagement: Encourage participation in college life, from academics to extracurricular activities.
Monitoring: Conduct regular checks of residential areas and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote safeguarding in all aspects of the college environment.
Conduct nightly curfew checks and monitor student welfare.
Complete regular attendance and progress reports.
organise and facilitate enrichment activities that cater to student interests.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and college staff regarding all aspects of student welfare.Experience:
Previous experience in a college, residential, or similar environment.
Experience working with students in a mentoring or support role.Skills:
Strong administrative and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
