Overview
Compass Associates are pleased to be working alongside a valued client who are looking to bring an experienced leader into their team, for their established residential home located in the Chesterfield area.
The home supports older adults with a range of needs including dementia, with the home benefitting from a strong Deputy Manager in post and stable staffing team as well as a strong senior management team who value staff development and progression. A small amount of turnaround is needed within the service, but the staffing team are a strong group and atmosphere within the home is incredibly positive.
Candidate
As this home needs a seasoned Manager, the successful candidate will come from a background of managing elderly care homes and hold a strong understanding of CQC standards. The candidate will be able to evidence previous CQC inspections with a ‘GOOD’ or improved rating and confidently detail how they support their staff daily.
Staff motivation and development will be key, as the new Registered Manager must be keen to lead from the front and make themselves a visible point of call. Visibility also lends to residents, their loved ones and stakeholders, ensuring the Registered Manager is always communicable and transparent.
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail is also an essential part of the role, enabling the manager to run the home viably and recognize what quality person centred care looks like
Criteria
* NVQ Level 5 or NVQ Level 4 with the willingness to work towards their level 5
* Previous experience managing an elderly residential home
* Strong colleague management skills, together with excellent communication skills and a strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, health & social care legislation and regulatory requirements
* Enthusiasm, passion and determination to achieve the highest standards and deliver the highest-quality person-centred support.
Location
This position is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is commutable from Sheffield, Mansfield, Alfreton, Baslow, Barlborough, and Worksop.
Interview Process
* Initial phone call with the Regional Manager
* A formal interview on site with the Regional Manager, including an assessment task
* Final teams call with the Operations Director
