The Role
An exciting opportunity for a Capability Lead – Information Knowledge Management & Enablers has arisen within the Australian Capability team. Our nuclear business is a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy's nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority, managing all aspects of plant design, safety, manufacture, performance, and through-life support.
Our customers are embarking on programmes of national and strategic importance, and our goal is to provide them with the right advice and support to establish world-class and nuclear-safe capabilities.
As the Australian Capability Lead – Information Knowledge Management and Enablers you will be providing advice to our customers so that all the systems and enablers, which deliver programme success, are fit for purpose and ready on-time. This will involve identifying all the necessary requirements for data, information and systems which deliver them to ensure our customers can construct and sustain nuclear powered submarines.
In addition, you will work with stakeholders across the business in functions like Security, Export Control, Information Technology, IKM, Intellectual Property and Commercial to integrate one message and strategy which our customers can use to ensure programme success.
This role offers a rare opportunity working across various UK sites, engaging across the CADMID cycle and interfacing with multiple industrial partners on an exciting and historically significant project, with the potential for international travel.

What you will be doing:
Key Accountabilities will include:
* Lead the identification, development, and implementation of Enabler strategies critical to programme delivery.
* Facilitate stakeholder engagement across governments and industry partners to build consensus and clearly define programme requirements.
* Provide authoritative advice to customers on data management and information flow to enable strategic decision-making which enables operational effectiveness.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules to deliver Enabling solutions and associated infrastructure within required timescales.
* Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on capability delivery.
* Plan and manage your own activities, communicating current status to relevant stakeholders across the business and to external customers.
* Using the Rolls-Royce Management System to ensure outputs are delivered in accordance with the requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people.
* To work beyond your role scope where required given the agile nature of the team and dynamic scope of the role – example areas to support could include policy, regulation, export control, security, build, transport, logistics, programme management activities, in-service, strategy, communications.

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Engineering, Project Management or another appropriate discipline.
* Familiarity with the processes, governance and requirements governing NSRP information.
* Demonstrable experience within several of the following areas involving multiple organisations:
o Information Technology,
o Information and Knowledge Management (IKM),
o Export control,
o Security,
o Project Management,
o Intellectual Property,
o Commercial,
o Understanding of reactor design and justification landscape / CADMID lifecycle is preferred due to programme context.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders at various levels, across government and industry, building consensus in complex scenarios.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of effectively dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplined team or indirect (matrix) team.
* An adaptable individual who is content dealing with the ambiguity and change
* Preferred: Strong understanding and experience in high security, nuclear or high-integrity safety-critical environments would be advantageous.
