Job Title: BookkeeperLocation: Barlaston Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (DOE) Hours: Part-time or Full-time (4-5 days per week) On-site / office-based Working Pattern: Very flexible hours, can be worked around school hours Benefits: Standard company benefits plus on-site parkingOverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy and supportive team based in Barlaston. This is a flexible role offering an excellent work-life balance, with hours that can be tailored around school commitments.Key Responsibilities
* Carry out the full credit control function, resolving queries and managing aged debt
* Reconcile banking transactions, producing accurate reports
* Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers and report on variances
* Manage end-to-end payroll, including:
* Processing payments
* Managing absenteeism
* Ensuring compliance with the Pension Act
* Submitting returns to HMRC
* Ensure the Finance Department remains compliant with ISO9001, as well as company policies and procedures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the HR system
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role
* AAT Level 3 qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
* Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Excel
* Experience handling payroll and statutory compliance
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
