Would you like to lead the delivery of Pulmonary rehabilitation services in Bradford as part of an established team ? BOC have a vacancy for a respiratory physiotherapist within our NHS commissioned pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) and HOSAR service. The team deliver virtual and face to face Pulmonary rehab across Bradford. This role will be united in increasing capacity in our community service provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to enhance an established quality service with the aims of achieving PRSAS accreditation, reducing patient wait times, reducing health inequalities and improving patient outcomes. You will work across established sites and from home Monday to Friday 9 am to 5pm supported by the local and wider BOC team.
There is opportunity to support work in the HOS-AR team if desirable. we will consider developmental role for Band 5 equivalent physios looking for progression.
Main duties of the job
Toprovide comprehensive clinical assessments and sessional programme as part of the PulmonaryRehabilitation Service
Topractice within the multidisciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner,ensuring the highest possible standards of practice
To lead the, implementation, promotion andmanagement of the Pulmonary Rehab service supporting a blended approach to servicesdelivery methods
To beresponsible for the day-to-day management of the Pulmonary Rehab programme andunqualified staff, supported by Team Lead
To workwith wider BOC senior leadership team in achieving PRSAS accreditation status.
Bradford have established pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in community sites, and a remote offering, we are working with ICB Clinical leads and PCN to provide a VIDEO cohort programme. All PR services will be twice weekly for 6 weeks plus a waiting well programme, that works with the PCN, ASC and community providers.
You will be supported by a Technical assistant with a central administrative team in the day to day delivery of clinical assessments, and programme delivery. You will be supported to lead the development of local PR services drawing on your a sound respiratory knowledge base. The wider team deliver HOSAR assessment, as such this role comes with potential opportunity to develop your skills in ambulatory o2 assessments and deliver breathlessness management clinics.

Purpose of the position

To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in their care, respecting confidentiality at all times.
To ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under your management, undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
Plan, co-ordinate, deliver and audit Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programmes across designated sites within Somerset. To have comprehensive understanding of patient presentation based upon high standards of clinical knowledge and to assess suitability for Pulmonary Rehabilitation based on knowledge and experience.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
2. Health Professions Council (HPC) Registration
3. Minimum of 12 months post graduate experience with previous NHS experience
4. Post graduate experience developed beyond basic rotation in Respiratory Care
Desirable
5. Experience of running or working within a Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme
6. Previous participation and delivery of teaching sessions and in-service training
7. Experience of effective team working
8. Previous experience of working as a NHS Band 6
9. Previous community experience
10. Leadership quality improvement project experience
11. Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
12. Member of relevant special interest group PCRS
13. Experience of audit and research
