**To be considered for this position you must hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare**
As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:
1. Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose
2. Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
3. Support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people
4. Undertake direct work with Children and young people as appropriate
5. Be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints
6. Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
7. Offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with National Minimum Standards

10. Ability to manage teams effectively
11. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
12. Excellent organisational skills
13. Experience working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour
14. Relevant supervisory experience
15. Driver with full UK driving licence
