Yorkshire Stainless Ltd (YSL) is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead our team and play a key role in what comes next.


With over 30 years of reputation behind us, significant recent investment, and a strong platform for expansion, this is an opportunity to step into a role where you can genuinely influence direction, performance and culture.


The role


You’ll lead a team of 8 sales professionals, driving performance, developing capability and building strong, profitable customer relationships. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help shape and deliver the commercial strategy with a clear focus on sustainable, margin-driven growth.


This is a hands-on leadership role. It is not just managing numbers…it’s about building a high-performing, motivated team.


What you’ll be responsible for


· Leading, coaching and developing a sales team of 8

· Driving sales growth, margin performance and customer retention

· Identifying and converting new business opportunities

· Strengthening key account relationships

· Using data and insight to inform commercial decisions

· Building a positive, accountable and high-performance culture

Who we’re looking for


We’re looking for a proven sales leader. Ideally you’ll have prior experience in metals, engineering or distribution and you’ll be someone who can combine commercial focus with strong people leadership. You’re driven, resilient and commercially minded. You enjoy building teams, improving performance and winning business. You know how to balance challenge with support and you’re comfortable having the conversations that drive results.


Most importantly, you’re looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact and be recognised for it and you'll be able to reliably commute to our newly refitted offices in Rotherham at least 4 days a week.


You’ll likely:


· Have a track record of delivering growth and hitting targets

· Be comfortable leading from the front and driving performance

· Use data and insight to guide decisions

· Enjoy developing people and improving team capability

· Be a confident communicator who builds strong relationships
