Information Security Architect | On-site – Aldermaston
- Up to £90 per hour via Umbrella
- Full-time on-site in Aldermaston
- 12-month contract
About the Client:
Our client plays a vital role in the UK's defence infrastructure, operating within one of the most secure and regulated environments in the country. Due to increasing demands across high-impact IT and infrastructure programmes, they are seeking a Cyber Security Architectural Lead to provide specialist oversight, assurance, and leadership in all areas of information risk and security architecture.
The Information Security Architect Role:
* Act as the primary security architecture lead for complex IT systems and programmes
* Develop and apply security architecture principles aligned with HMG, MoD, and NCSC standards
* Guide solution architects on embedding security controls and designs across project lifecycles
* Review and assure high/low-level solution designs for compliance and risk mitigation
* Facilitate system accreditations and interface with NCSC and other national authorities
* Conduct technical risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and IT Health Checks
* Lead Security Working Groups and represent security interests in cross-functional settings
* Provide leadership in embedding security architecture best practices across the wider team
Essential Skills:
* Strong background as a Security Architect in secure or classified environments
* Deep understanding of security frameworks, architecture methodologies, and enterprise-level security principles
* Experience working with HMG, MoD, and NCSC guidance and accreditation processes
* Proven experience in developing and assuring secure designs and technical risk assessments
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
