Carmichael are seeking an AssistantSite Engineer with Earthworks and/or Structures experienceto join our team in the Calvert area.
In this role, you will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
You will be responsible for work with the other team members of thesetting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers andfor identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. You will monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements.
You will ensure that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties. You will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institutemembership(ICE)
* Experience in Earthworks and/or Structures is essential for this role
* Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
* CSCS card required (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months))
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required
