Purpose of the Role: As the Assistant Supplier Relationship Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and management of strategic supplier relationships to drive business success. Working closely with the Supplier Relationship Manager, you will assist in managing supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. Your responsibilities will include supplier communication, data analysis, contract administration, and project coordination. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail to effectively support supplier relationship management initiatives. You will work closely with the Cost Team and the wider Property team in monitoring and measuring supplier performance as well as onboarding and offboarding the supply chain. Your communication skills will be key to the success of this role, using high quality reporting to evidence the case for change and to provide assurance that our standards and expectations are being met. Key Responsibilities – Duties and Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analysis, and report on supplier-related data, including performance metrics, contract compliance, and cost savings initiatives. Supplier Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships. Facilitate regular communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure alignment on Expectations and deliverables. Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Compile and analyse performance data to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing supplier relationships and optimising performance. Supplier Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new suppliers, coordinating with internal departments to ensure all necessary documentation and requirements are fulfilled. Contract Administration : Assist in the administration of contracts, including contract renewals, amendments, and compliance monitoring, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. Project Coordination: Support cross-functional projects and initiatives related to supplier relationship management, collaborating with internal teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables. Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Microsoft Excel or business intelligence software Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement or vendor management software is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
