KS3 Teacher Location: Erdington Start Date: ASAP Salary: 180 - 220 per day Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing Monarch Education are proud to be working with a SEND school in Birmingham providing tailored education for secondary-aged students who have social, emotional, or mental health challenges that impact their learning and behaviour. As a KS3 Teacher within this SEND setting, your role will involve delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEND challenges. It is essential in this role to have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and have experience within a SEND, Alternative Provision, PRU or a challenging mainstream school. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across KS3 subjects, with adaptations for SEMH needs. Applying trauma-informed approaches that acknowledge the impact of adverse experiences on learning and behaviour. Monitor and assess students' academic progress, adapting approaches to meet individual needs. Promote emotional well-being, resilience, and independence; adhere to all safeguarding policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, behaviour, and interventions. Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching KS3 students, preferably within SEMH, SEN, or alternative education settings. Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective strategies to support vulnerable learners. Excellent behaviour management skills and patience.
