Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 17:00pm
Salary: up to £50,000

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Hard Services Manager to oversee and lead the day‑to‑day operations of a multi‑skilled maintenance team on a key client site. You will conduct daily inspections, allocate tasks, and ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed service levels.
A vital element of this role is ensuring productivity, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will complete engineer audits, ensure accurate risk assessments are in place, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
You will also play a central leadership role—recruiting, developing, coaching and retaining engineering staff while promoting a collaborative learning culture across the team. Ensuring HR procedures are followed and communications are cascaded effectively will also form part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the delivery of PPM, reactive and remedial works.
* Conduct daily site inspections and monitor operational performance.
* Allocate work to engineers and ensure tasks are completed within SLA.
* Carry out engineer audits and embed continuous improvement.
* Ensure all risk assessments and safety documentation are accurate and up to date.
* Recruit, train and develop maintenance staff.
* Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
* Ensure company procedures and HR processes are followed correctly.
* Promote a positive, collaborative and professional working culture.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a confident and technically strong leader with solid experience in engineering and building services maintenance. You should be organised, proactive and capable of working effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
* Recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
* IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition & C&G Level 3 (desirable)
* Experience in a supervisory maintenance role
* Background in building services / facilities maintenance
* Experience using CAFM systems
* Strong health, safety and environmental awareness
* Highly organised with excellent communication skills
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
