Element has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Power BI Developer. You will need strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of finance processes, and a passion for transforming complex data into clear insights using Power BI.
This role involves working within the Enterprise Integration and Reporting team, alongside the Finance team and other business units. The primary goal is to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports through Power BI, mainly using Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
Core Responsibilities
* Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet finance needs.
* Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations.
* Connect, transform, and model data from D365 Finance and Operations and other systems.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
* Assist in governance and documentation of BI solutions, including data dictionaries and report inventories.
* Support the rollout of new Power BI features and train users as needed.
* Work with IT Systems and Finance teams on data improvement and performance optimization initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
* Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, especially its finance modules and data structures.
* Good grasp of financial principles, terminology, and reporting needs.
* Excellent communication skills for working across business and technical teams.
* Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or similar tools is a plus.
Experience Needed:
* Several years of delivering Power BI solutions, with hands-on experience with D365 Finance and Operations data sources.
* Proven ability to deliver impactful, user-friendly reports to non-technical audiences.
